Fagan & Whalley Ltd are seeking a Night Operations Planner to work within our busy Operations office based at our Padiham Depot. Previous experience is preferred but full training will be provided.

Working hours for this position are Monday – Thursday nights between 1900 – 0600 and Friday night 1900-0000.

Main Duties of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Planning and co-ordination of our transport fleet
  • Overseeing of night time loading and warehouse operation
  • Communicating and debriefing with drivers
  • Allocation of resources via our bespoke IT System

The position is for an experienced HGV Trailer Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining commercial vehicles & trailers to MOT standard.



Essential duties & responsibilities:

  • Carry out service maintenance & repair work to the truck- trailer fleet
  • Diagnose & rectify all types of faults
  • MOT preparation
  • Tyre Management
  • To work in a busy team of Technicians’ and support our Traffic and Warehousing teams.

Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, this role is based in Padiham. If you enjoy physical work and working outdoors in all weathers, then this could be the job for you. Able to take instruction and work as part of the team, you will ensure the efficiency of the Warehouse is maintained in a safe and timely manner.



Main duties of the role include:

· Loading and unloading in a busy environment

· Yard duties (outside working)

· Shunting duties (willing to learn to move 45 ft. trailers on site)

· Moving supplies to storage areas

. Comply to all Health & Safety & Site rules

· Keeping work areas clean and tidy

Essential Requirements for this role include:

Valid Full UK Driving Licence

Valid Forklift Truck Licence (mainly Counterbalance)
