The Fagan & Whalley “Heritage Collection” is a valued assortment of restored trucks that represent crucial aspects of our history and culture. Not only do they commemorate key events in the Fagan & Whalley story, but they are increasingly popular with truck enthusiasts and at events, too!

Albert
Our 1953 Albion Chieftain, affectionately known as “Albert”, resides in the reception area of our HQ, Albion House.
Whilst not an original F&W vehicle, the Albion was purchased for display purposes, enabling us to show a part of our company’s heritage. As a typical model in Fagan & Whalley operations in the post-war period, vehicles such as Albert would have been used to transport textiles and associated products from the Lancashire cotton mills.
Albert is so named to honour the mechanic, Albert Henshaw who spent numerous hours restoring the vehicle to the excellent condition it can be seen in today.

Doris
Purchased to celebrate our 90th anniversary in 2017, “Doris” is named after Graham & Stephen Fagan’s mother, and was the first Scania next-generation “S” cab to enter the fleet.
Painted in a special, one-off livery and sign written in a traditional style, the vehicle was kept as a surprise from the Directors and was presented to them one morning outside HQ as part of our celebrations.
Peter Smith is the proud driver of this special edition vehicle and spends many an hour polishing her and ensuring she looks her best when engaged in deliveries across the UK.

Joan Margaret
Driven by David Weston, “Joan Margaret” was named after David’s mother, and is a well-known staple on the truck show circuit, standing out amongst the other vehicles in the fleet.
Upon reaching his 30-year anniversary with us four years ago, David was gifted a brand-new truck (PO66 UTU) to mark the occasion. As a completely unique vehicle, being a day cabbed tag axle tractor unit, the truck later became even more of a stand-out vehicle within our fleet when David went on to customise it to his individual requirements.
David’s latest vehicle (PE70 AED), is equally unique, arriving in a special paint scheme and decked out with light bars, chequered plating, and with a fully painted chassis and wings, to continue as his mother’s namesake.

95th-year special edition Scania
In order to celebrate our 95th anniversary, the F&W team were thrilled to introduce this fantastic Scania 450S 6×2 tractor unit to our fleet.
As is tradition with our Heritage Collection vehicles, the 95th anniversary Scania is painted in a one-of-a-kind and special edition livery. It features a vibrant grass green as the primary colour – while the traditional, darker green that F&W has become synonymous with can be found on the grill.
The vehicle includes a few extra bits of bling to commemorate our 95th anniversary, including a Kelsa headboard, light bars, and some statement lighting within the grill. As well as this, the chassis chequer plating, rear wheel wings, wing mirrors, and sun visor have been painted in our F&W custom colours!
The lucky driver of this vehicle is John Shirley, who has worked in our Coventry depot for over nine years now. John proudly reports getting spotted by other truckers while he is up and down on the roads!

Scania 3 Series
Restored in 2016 to honour the era of growth Fagan & Whalley experienced in the late 1990s and the early twentieth century, this Heritage Collection truck pays tribute to the era that the Scania 3 Series made up the backbone of our fleet.
Featuring the iconic handwritten signature, the vehicle is one of the last incarnations of the old F&W livery before we rebranded in the early 2000s.
The vehicle was originally purchased second-hand in 2005 before it was retired in 2010 and kept in storage until its restoration in 2016. Due to being in great condition, the restoration was completed in just three months.
Nowadays, it keeps itself busy up and down the country visiting truck shows and events!

Scania 4 Series Topline
Introduced to commemorate the working era of the early twenty-first century, which was a real period of expansion and growth for Fagan & Whalley – the restored Scania 4 Series Topline has already been a hit at recent truck shows!
Originally introduced into our fleet in 2003, the 124L – 420 engine truck was retired in September 2014 and had been kept in storage until our maintenance team got to work on its restoration in 2019.
Although the truck does not have an allocated driver, we’ve been keeping it busy at Truckfest shows and events across the country, whereby the reception has been great.
It is important to all of us at F&W that we take the time to commemorate key parts of our story and reflect on our heritage and history, and this restored vehicle does just that!
